Description
As an Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting, your role will encompass managing the financial reporting process on behalf of large multi-national clients. You will act as a liaison with multiple stakeholders such as auditors, administrators, and investment managers. A key part of your role will be reviewing financial statements for investment funds in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, and potentially other accounting frameworks. You will research technical queries regarding accounting standards and coach team members to ensure the highest levels of output. Additionally, you will be responsible for the professional development of those you manage and actively engage in the recruitment and retention of talented professionals.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of multiple accounting standards
- 5 years+ experience in a financial services fund environment
- Technical expertise, attention to detail and a practical mindset
- Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines to meet compliance
- Capacity to build relationships and influence colleagues and business partners
- Confident communicator able to provide clear updates in English and Bulgarian (preferred)
- ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification is a strong advantage
- Advanced strategy, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience in coaching and developing a team
- Ability to take ownership of own professional development
- Legal entitlement to work in Bulgaria
