GL Accountant

• Submitting for review and approval of transactional postings to support closure of the financial books (journal postings/processing, adjustments, allocations and transfers)
• Substantiating account/general ledger balance reconciliations
• Performing and reporting on ongoing and monthly accounting transactional activities including journal and allocation processing, Balance Sheet reconciliation and review, period close and related reporting for nominated area
• Presenting monthly financial results to key stakeholders and highlighting risks and opportunities
• Partnering closely with Commercial Finance business partners, including understanding of the budget/forecast for nominated areas and providing first level commentary on key movements
• Raising issues with senior management and helping resolve them
• Provision of accurate numbers for all disclosures in the annual report and statutory accounts
