Senior Java Developer

Short Description

Manpower is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer on behalf of our client – a leading international company in the insurance sector.The role involves developing, maintaining, and integrating innovative, mission-critical solutions for core systems in an international environment. You will be part of an IT solutions team, working in close collaboration with partner organizations. As a Lead Software Developer, you will ensure that customer requirements are implemented in accordance with design standards and programming principles, acting as the main point of contact for the development team.

Description

Your Responsibilities:

• Follow established design and architecture principles and work closely with the Solution Architect.
• Contribute to the development of future IT solutions for HEALTH, as well as perform technical analysis.
• Handle technical analysis and implement bug fixes in case of issues.
• Support the integration and deployment process.
• Apply module/unit tests to ensure user stories function as expected.
• Assist the QA team during testing phases.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• University degree (Bachelor/Master) in IT or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java-based back-end and HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript-based front-end development
• At least 3 years of practical experience with Java-based back-end frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Quarkus) and front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., ReactJS, TypeScript)
• Solid knowledge of modern design approaches such as SPA, Microservices, N-tier, Identity Federation, IaC, and Containerization
• Strong communication skills, accountability, willingness to adopt new technologies, and readiness to support junior colleagues
• Experience working in agile distributed teams
• Proven track record in large-scale software development projects
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); German is considered an advantage
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
