As a PHP Developer you will be a technical leader who operates with a broad scope of backend technologies (servers, serverless, managed services, etc.), across multiple initiatives and projects.

You are expected to bring a hands-on attitude, but primarily focus on enabling multiple teams to deliver features effectively and coherently by providing high quality decisions.Key Responsibilities● Technical Leadership & Architecture: You will design and lead the implementation of complex, multi-team projects. This includes defining the architecture for new services or major changes to existing systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.● Cross-Team Alignment: You will act as the technical glue between teams, ensuring that different groups are building systems that work well together and align with a unified technical vision.● Solving Complex Problems: You will be the go-to experts for the hardest technical challenges within your domain. This often involves deep-diving into performance bottlenecks, resolving complex integration issues, or designing fault-tolerant systems.● Mentorship & Uplift: You will mentor other senior and mid-level engineers, helping them grow. You are expected to elevate the entire organization's technical capabilities by setting high standards for code quality, testing, and design (e.g., leading design reviews, writing technical standards).● Strategic Planning: You will work with product managers, the Chief Technology Officer and Tech Leads to help define the technical roadmap for a given area, identifying technical debt, and proposing new initiatives to meet future business goals.

Requirements

● 8+ years of professional experience and a demonstrated impact and scope in your previous roles (e.g., creating scalable solutions, influencing product direction, etc.). ● Broad technological knowledge. ● Experience in solving "messy" problems (ambiguous and complex challenges, often with no clear owner or solution). ● Excellent analytical and presenting skills. ● Ability to work with product and engineering leadership to identify ambiguous, high-level business problems and translate them into a concrete technical strategy. ● Extensive familiarity with AI coding agents. ● Experience with LLM integrations in a production environment - prompt management, evals, API integrations. Mix of technologies: ● Cloud: AWS leveraging broad range of their services via Terraform provisioning ● Deployment targets: Linux servers, Containers (Docker Compose, ECS), Serverless (Lambda, Step Functions) ● Programming languages: TypeScript, PHP, Python ● Databases: RDBMS (Mysql Aurora, Supabase), NoSQL (AWS DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Redis), Fulltext (Elasticsearch), VectorDB (Pinecone) ● AI: Agentic Framework (Mastra), LLM Ops (Langfuse)
