We are partnering with a well-established engineering company with strong international project experience, currently looking for a highly experienced professional to join as:Head of Projects – Electrical EngineeringThis is a strategic and hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the full scope of the design department’s activities, ensuring high-quality delivery of complex electrical engineering projects in the energy infrastructure sector.

Description

• Lead, organize, and develop the Design Department, ensuring efficient execution and high-quality project delivery • Oversee the design of electrical systems and networks in compliance with technical specifications, regulations, and client requirements • Performs the design and technical development of electrical installations and networks within assigned projects, ensuring full compliance with project requirements, applicable regulations, and technical standards.• Participate directly in key engineering projects, providing technical expertise and consulting internal teams and clients • Manage the full project portfolio, including resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and prioritization • Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations, technical standards, and internal company procedures • Lead, mentor, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers • Coordinate with external consultants, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders • Participate in technical negotiations, project discussions, and partnership meetings • Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and performance KPIs for management review • Maintain strong communication with clients, partners, and senior leadership

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field (Civil Engineering with energy infrastructure focus is also acceptable) • Full design license (mandatory), issued by the Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design (CEID / KIIP equivalent) • Minimum 5-8+ years of experience in investment design within electrical/energy infrastructure projects • At least 3 years in a senior design leadership role • Proven experience in complex energy infrastructure projects (grid transmission/distribution systems, substations, transformer stations, overhead and cable lines, power plants, including hydro, wind, and solar projects) • Experience across all design stages: conceptual, technical, and detailed design • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards • Experience coordinating with institutions such as regulators, utility companies, and transmission system operators • Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, DIALux, PVsyst or equivalent) • Experience preparing technical specifications, cost estimations, and HSE documentation • Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Ability to present technical solutions to clients and investors • Fluency in English is required; German is a strong advantage.
