We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Ad Operations Specialist to join our client's team and support the in-house sales team in executing high-impact digital advertising campaigns. This role is essential in ensuring that direct-sold campaigns are delivered efficiently and effectively across client's owned and operated property, using Google Ad Manager (GAM) as the primary ad serving platform.
Description
Key ResponsibilitiesCampaign Trafficking & Management
- Set up, traffic, QA, and monitor direct-sold and programmatic campaigns using Google Ad Manager (GAM).
- Ensure campaigns are accurately implemented according to insertion orders (IOs), with correct ad units, targeting criteria, and creative assets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect creative assets and ensure they meet platform and publisher specs.
Sales Support & Collaboration- Work with the sales team to provide inventory availability, targeting capabilities, and campaign feasibility during the pre-sale process.
- Help develop media plans by providing technical insights and inventory forecasts.
- Support client troubleshooting, optimizations, and campaign reporting.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization- Monitor campaign pacing and delivery performance to ensure full delivery and KPI success (CTR, viewability, etc.).
- Proactively identify underperforming campaigns and make recommendations for targeting or creative adjustments.
- Use GAM tools, Publisher Console, and browser dev tools for QA and issue resolution.
Reporting & Analytics- Generate regular performance and delivery reports using GAM, Google Analytics, and third-party platforms.
- Provide data-driven insights to internal teams and contribute to campaign performance reviews.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in the digital marketing field (required), ideally with a focus on digital advertising, media buying, or campaign operations.
- Familiarity with Google Ad Manager (GAM) and Google Ad Exchange (AdX) / Google AdSense is highly recommended, but not mandatory—we’re open to training the right candidate with foundational marketing experience.
- Understanding of key digital advertising concepts such as CTR, targeting, frequency capping, CPM/CPC/CPA metrics, and ad serving mechanics.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, prioritize tasks, and work cross-functionally with sales, product, and technical teams.Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics for traffic and performance analysis.
- Understanding of affiliate marketing principles and tracking integrations.
- Familiarity with third-party ad tags.
- Basic HTML, JavaScript, or browser console knowledge is a plus.
