Our partner, an international company, is expanding its finance team and is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Bulgarian operations. This role offers the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of local accounting in a stable international environment, with clearly structured processes, strong work–life balance, and exposure to group standards and projects.
Description
- Full responsibility for the company’s local accounting, including general ledger and tax-related matters
- Handling all tax obligations and reporting to the local authorities
- Preparation and submission of monthly VAT registers and Intrastat declarations
- Participation in the preparation of the annual financial statements
- Performing monthly accounting controls and supporting month-end closing
- Operational involvement in accounts payable processes
- Participation in group consolidation and annual audit processes
- Involvement in the implementation and alignment of group accounting processes
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience (manufacturing or commercial accounting)
- Solid knowledge of local accounting and tax legislation
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Strong computer skills – MS Office (Excel), ERP and accounting systems
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently with deadlines
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
