Short Description

For our client, a coal-fired thermal power plant, we are looking to hire experienced engineering and managerial professionals to lead and support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large-scale power generation facility in Bulgaria.We are seeking accomplished leaders and technical experts with extensive experience in thermal power generation, utilities, heavy industry, oil & gas, petrochemicals, or large industrial operations.

Description

Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:

Leading plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Delivering high standards of plant reliability, availability, and operational performance.
Managing maintenance strategies, turnaround activities, and major outages.
Identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency and performance improvements.
Overseeing engineering studies, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis activities.
Managing budgets, resources, contractors, and technical projects.
Developing operational procedures, standards, and best practices.
Supporting plant modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Providing leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Automation & Control, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in coal-fired thermal power plant.
Previous leadership experience for managerial positions.
Strong knowledge of boilers, steam turbines, generators, auxiliary systems, maintenance practices, and power plant operations.
Experience managing technical teams, contractors, and complex industrial projects.
Knowledge of reliability, maintenance planning, performance monitoring, and operational excellence principles.
Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
International project or power generation experience will be considered an advantage.
