Health and Safety Coordinator- Renewable Energy Projects
Description
- Maintain and monitor all project HSSE documentation, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, HSSE Plans, Traffic Management Plans, and Waste Management Plans.
- Ensure compliance with Bulgarian HSE legislation, company standards, and project requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify and mitigate risks.
- Review and manage subcontractor HSSE documentation and monitor contractor compliance on site.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly HSE reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and support the implementation of HSE training programs.
- Monitor the availability and proper use of PPE, welfare facilities, and waste management arrangements.
- Advise site management on health, safety, and environmental matters and promote a strong safety culture.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving the project's Zero Harm objectives.
Requirements
- Valid Construction Site Safety Coordinator Certificate.
- 2–5 years of proven HSE experience in construction, industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.
- Good knowledge of Bulgarian health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in conducting site inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Ability to review and manage HSE documentation, including RAMS, permits, and contractor safety records.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Fluent Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to work on-site and relocate to the project location, if required.
- Experience in renewable energy projects will be considered a strong advantage.
- University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline will be considered an advantage.
