Your Responsibilities:As a part of the Managed Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the stability, security, and performance of network infrastructures. Key tasks include:
- Managing incidents and problems, including root cause analysisMonitoring infrastructure via Icinga and other tools
- Designing and documenting LAN/WLAN environments
- Administering and optimizing network topologies and security (e.g. TLS/SSL, IPSec, port security)
- Executing firmware and patch rollouts
- Maintaining operational documentation and contributing to knowledge bases
- Supporting internal teams and customers with infrastructure-related issues
- Operating firewall and load balancer systems
- Coordinating with vendors, customers, and internal teams
- Participating in 24/7 on-call support on a rotation basis
Requirements
- Your Profile:
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in network operations in an enterprise environment
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or completed IT apprenticeship
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Subnet & VLAN Management
- Routing/Switching (OSPF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP)
- Cisco Prime, Extreme Management Systems, Cisco ISE
- Monitoring tools (Icinga 2, FNT Command)
- Automation (Ansible, PowerShell, Python)
- Wireless technologies (802.11 standards, controllers)
- Fluency in English and German at B2 level
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Strong documentation skills (Visio, MS SharePoint, ITSM)
- Clean criminal record and ability to meet data security requirements
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
- Fortinet NSE
- KEMP Certified Technical Engineer (KCTE)
- genua Firewall Certified Professional (GFCP)
